Distance learning programmes
We administer educational examinations for a wide range of British universities and colleges:
How much will it cost?
Exam Administration fees will be incurred. Administration fees include venue charges, invigilation charges, secure storage of question papers and scripts. This does not include examination fees charged by your university and courier charges. Please confirm with your university for exam fees and courier charges depend on the country which the scripts have to be sent back. Please contact us for administration fees and courier charges.
It is important to check with your institute if the invigilation services fee has been included in the tuition fee or examination fees. The candidate will be charged if it is not covered by the institute.
Please contact us for the information on the venue and time of your examinations once your university has confirmed the details.
If candidates miss the examination due to illness or imminent death of an immediate family member or withdraw their entry on medical grounds, at the sole discretion of British Council they may receive a partial refund. A written refund request in English must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than three working days after the examination. An administration fee based on 15% of the total amount paid will be still applicable.
If you wish to cancel your booking two weeks before the exam date, you will be entitled to a full refund.
Examination fees are non-refundable where no acceptable proof of medical grounds can be provided. No refunds are given where candidates travel to a wrong venue or arrive too late to be admitted to the examination.
The British Council and the examining boards take all reasonable steps to provide continuity of service. We feel sure you will understand, however, that we cannot be held responsible for any interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control. If examinations or their results are disrupted, cancelled or delayed, every effort will be made to resume normal service as soon as possible. The British Council’s liability will be limited to the refund of the registration fee or retesting at a later date.
