Propeller Theatre Company will be in Istanbul with two highly acclaimed productions to launch our three-year programme marking 400 years since Shakespeare’s death.
The Comedy of Errors is Shakespeare’s most hilarious comedy and also his smartest. Two sets of estranged twins, separated at birth, find themselves in the same city 25 years later with hilarious consequences. The play is set in Ephesus in ancient Greece, which is now near the modern village of Selcuk in Turkey. A series of mistaken identities, assumed personas, and wild mishaps bring a family crisis into heart-warming focus.
21 May Wednesday 20:30
23 May Friday 20:30
Lasts 134′: 2 acts.
The play will be performed in English, with Turkish subtitles. The play is directed by Edward Hall and designed by Michael Pavelka.
