Creative Industries and Entrepreneurship
British Council in collaboration with Fit Start up Factory is bringing together creatives and entrepreneurs from the UK and Turkey together for a talk on Tuesday 16 December 2014 at 19.00 at Fit start-up factory.
The talk will be offering insights for creative entrepreneurs, and those who want to understand the opportunities the sector offers.
Today, both in Turkey and the UK, creative industries contribute between 6% and 8% to the economy growing at twice the rate of other sectors.
Who are they, where are the opportunities, why is this important and what issues do they commonly have to confront?
Moderated by Prof. Alpay Er (Özyeğin University, Head of Industrial Design Department) the talk will feature opinions from Percy Emmett (Creative Enterprise Consultant), Meriç Kara (Meriç Kara Design, Designer) and Oya Akman (Oya Design, Industrial Product Designer).
The talk will be held in English. The recording of the talk will be published with Turkish subtitles through the social media channels of British Council.
