Creative Entrepreneurs presents: The Founder Files

Creative Entrepreneurs is a new movement to bring together - for the first time in one place - the resources, inspiration and networks creative people need to turn their ideas into successful businesses. They deliver this across all platforms: in-person at events, and digitally via their website.

'The Founder Files,' is their new in-conversation series which lets you engage directly with some of the most exciting creative Founders around, to learn from their entrepreneurial stories and advice.

British Council is providing audiences in Turkey with the opportunity to watch live streams of the events in real time through Facebook Live, and to engage and ask questions to the guest entrepreneurs.

About Matthew Slotover

Matthew Slotover, Co-Founder of Frieze, is one of the most influential and pioneering entrepreneurs in this sphere. Starting Frieze in 1991 as a humble arts & culture ‘fanzine,’ he and co-founder Amanda Sharp have transformed it into the world’s most influential contemporary art brand.

Frieze is now home to (i) four publications: frieze magazine, frieze d/e, Frieze Masters Magazine and Frieze Week; (ii) three international art fairs: Frieze London, Frieze New York and Frieze Masters; (iii) Frieze Academy, a programme of talks and courses, and (iv), the definitive resource for contemporary art & culture.

Join us to hear directly from Matthew on how he grew Frieze from just an idea into a global publishing brand and disrupted the art market, building Frieze Art Fairs into some of the most anticipated events in the global cultural calendar.

About Col Needham

As a self-confessed teenage movie geek, Col Needham started a diary documenting the films, filmmakers & actors he loved. Little did he know then, in 1980, that 20 years later his passion  would morph into a multi-million dollar company that would cement his position as 'the most powerful Brit in Hollywood'.

The people who joined the talk had the chance to ask Col how he turned his passion into a successful  business & became an industry insider influencing global movie trends, and what it was like to sell IMDb to Amazon and why he chose to stay on as CEO.

About Charlotte Tilbury

After over 20 years as the world’s most sought after make-up artist, both on the catwalk and the red carpet, and having worked as a creative consultant to some of the world’s biggest beauty brands, including Tom Ford, Mac and Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury launched her own beauty brand in 2013.

In only three years, Charlotte Tilbury has become the fastest growing beauty brand, adored by icons like Natalie Portman, Gisele Bundchen and Kate Moss – who not only entrusted Charlotte with her wedding make-up, but also backed the launch of Charlotte’s very first scent in July of this year.

During the live broadcast Charlotte Tilburry shared her experience of transition from freelancer to founder. Register now to watch the broadcast.
