British Council Curatorial Residency Programme ’18

The British Council is delighted to offer an opportunity for local curators to go to the UK and develop the second edition of the online exhibition from the British Council Collection.

The programme is for interested curators and the residency in the UK will take place in early November.

British Council ''Curatorial Residency Programme’’ participant selected

Ulya Soley, will visit the British Council Collection in London and curate the second online exhibition.

Ulya Soley

Ulya Soley works at Pera Museum as collection supervisor, and she contributes to the museum’s exhibitions and publications as a curator and editor. She completed her BA in Art History and Psychology at McGill University and she is working towards a Masters degree in Culture, Criticism and Curation at Central Saint Martins.

She co-curated Pera Museum’s “Katherine Behar: Data’s Entry” exhibition and the video project "Bring Your Own Beamer" with Fatma Çolakoğlu. She curated “Stereo-Reality” exhibition as part of Proto5533’s emerging curators program. Her writing appeared in printed and online publications such as Pine Magazine, The Believer Logger, Istanbul Art News and Sanatatak. She is an AICA member, and co-founder of the online publication project "Stimuli".
