CLIMATE ADVOCATES GATHER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Turkey kicks off its involvement in the British Council’s ‘Challenge Europe’ Climate Change programme with a meeting in Ankara. The meeting brings together 14 Climate Advocates who will formulate projects that will hopefully make a difference in the Climate Change debate. Raising awareness becomes a top priority as the group prepares to launch the fruit of their collaborative efforts in September.

Mosaic, a set of initiatives designed to support young Muslims and their peers growing up in the UK’s more deprived areas, continues its quest to work towards a more integrated and thriving society in which all individuals, regardless of background, are supported in realising their potential. Emre Özdemir, one of 82 young delegates taking part in the first Mosaic International Summer School that took place last month, recalls his experiences during the two-week event, detailing the programme, his contribution to the event, and a particularly memorable meeting just before he left for the UK.
