UK Foreign Secretary David Miliband was in Istanbul last month to launch the European Commission-funded British Council programme, My City. Miliband focused on the crucial link between politics and culture, as well as the importance of Turkey’s integration with Europe
In a visit spearheaded by British Council Turkey, a delegation led by Education and Skills Turkey Director John Bramwell and Turkey’s Higher Education Council President Prof Dr Yusuf Ziya Özcan came together in the UK in May to identify future partnerships and projects among the higher education agencies of the two countries.
