British Council is supporting the ‘Fibrous Structures’ Workshop organized by Arkitera Architecture Center. The workshop brings 12 master students from Architectural Association (AA London) and 18 students from various architecture faculties of Turkish Universities together. Expected result of the workshop composes of ‘consultancy kiosk’ designs for ‘2010 Istanbul European Capital of Culture’

Description: A two-days briefing and planning meeting for the Public Administration Reform Project will take place with two experts from the UK. Representatives from the Prime Ministry, State Planning Organisation, selected municipalities, Special Provincial Administrations, and other related public institutions will join the meeting. The experts will also pay visits to some of the municipalities to discuss their strategic plans.

11 winners to receive DivX - DVD players and IPods in Education UK`s slogan competition

Description:

The prizes for the winners of the competition were a DivX - DVD Players or Ipod. 11 winners were chosen on January 24th. The award ceremony will be held on February 16th, at the British Consulate in Pera. The British Consul Barbara Hay and the Director of the British Council İstanbul Chris Edwards will also be hosting educational agents who successfully completed an online certificate training programme devised by Education UK.
